99999.99% EMPTY SPACE:
Think of electrons like a swarm of bees or birds, where the individual motions are too fast to track, but you still see the shape of the overall swarm.
So why does a chair also feel solid? It feels solid because of the dancing electrons.
In fact, all “matter” seems to consist of tiny vibrating strings of energy. In other words, the physical world you see around you consists of electromagnetic waves – light! Your physical body is not that physical at all. It is light, or energy.
The atoms that make up your body are empty space. Tiny vibrating strands of energy make up the building blocks of these atoms. Your Consciousness/attention is what creates reality. Amazing things start to happen when you realize your true nature as empty awareness.
Most of the matter in our world is mostly empty space.
That is how it can be compressed in the core of a supernova.A supernova is the destruction of a very very massive star.
If there is enough pressure to compress the matter completely eliminating all the empty space inside, the matter becomes a singularity. That is how a black hole is formed.
This means that if you were to walk through a wall, two electrons (yours and the wall’s) would have to co-exist in the same space, albeit for a very, very short space of time. But, as per the Pauli Exclusion Principle, this is just not possible.
Therefore, despite the fact that we are almost entirely empty space (a mind-boggling fact ), we cannot walk through walls – or any other percieved solid material for that matter.
Your butt isn’t actually touching the chair you’re sitting on.When you ‘touch’ someone (or something), you aren’t actually feeling their atoms.
What you’re feeling is the electromagnetic force of your electrons pushing away their electrons.
On a very technical level, you’re not actually sitting on that chair. You’re hovering ever so slightly above it.
Space is never truly empty. It’s actually full of a whole fistful of good stuff, including wave functions and invisible quantum fields.
Reality is an illusion everything is energy and reality isn’t real.
Our eyes can only see a limited spectrum of light that is available. We cannot see the infrared spectrum for instance. Our hearing and sense of smell is very limited even compared to that of our pet dog. If we could see what an electron microscope sees, we would see that what we consider solid form is actually mostly empty space.
Humans are not programmed for truth. They are programmed for survival.
There are smells around that we physically can’t smell, there are sights to witness beyond the wavelength that our eyes operate in, and there are sounds to be heard that we will never fully hear.
