Well We actually do create reality.

The mind is just a reflector or Mirror.

Quantum particles known as photons or light particles enters the eyes, it is then process thru the cerebral cortex where it is interpreted and reflected back out the eyes to create and see the experiences.

You see with your brain first,your eyes is just a reflector or mirror from what your brain perceives as images. Consciousness collapses the quantum field and interprets the light photons to MANIFEST according to your Paradigm or BELIEF structure. Your BELIEFS enter through a filter in your mind known as the”CRITICAL FACULTY” or the gate keeper as I would like to refer to it.

The critical faculty decides which belief system is true to you and then lets it enter the subconscious. The subconscious is The reality creator because it is connected to source energy or infinite intelligence, GOD or whatever you want to refer to it as. Reality is an illusion created through consciousness so the premise of reality already existing as a material reality is in fact false.

Quantum mechanics abolished the idea of a material or ever present reality as hard as this may be to Believe for many, quantum physics does not lie and experiments continue to validate and prove this. Consciousness or the observer influences and changes the vibrational FREQUENCY of Matter and collapses it into an ILLUSION of ones own reality.
